The weekly jobless claims bulletin is expected to show 200,000 new unemployment claims for the week ended Sept. 26, up from 197,000 in the prior week, according to estimates compiled by Bloomberg. The final S&P Global manufacturing purchasing managers index for September, due at 9:45 am ET, is projected to be unchanged at 57.0. The September Institute for Supply Management's manufacturing index, due at 10 am ET, is projected at 55.0, up from 54.6 in the previous month. The August construction spending report is also expected at 10 am ET.
