Flex to Acquire EPC Power for $4.4 Billion in AI Data Center Push

05:43 PM EDT, 09/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Flex (FLEX) agreed to acquire EPC Power for $4.4 billion to expand its offerings for AI data centers and grid applications. EPC has more than 15 gigawatts deployed across 62 countries, while its annual US manufacturing capacity will surpass 30 gigawatts in 2027, Flex said Thursday in a statement. EPC will join Flex's Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment when the deal closes in Q4. Flex plans to separate the segment into a standalone publicly traded company in Q1 2027. EPC is expected to generate $800 million in revenue in 2026. Flex said it is evaluating financial alternatives and expects to fund the acquisition with a combination of debt and equity.
