EVgo Previews Next-Generation 750kW Charging System

07:51 AM EDT, 09/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- EVgo (EVGO) has previewed its next-generation charging system, which is capable of delivering up to 750kW of charging power, the company said Tuesday. Design, development, and testing of the new charger are being conducted at EVgo's Innovation Lab in El Segundo, California, with co-development support from Delta Electronics, the company said. Features of the new charger, whose final design is expected to be unveiled and deployed in 2027, include upgraded cable maneuverability, a touchless payment interface, and new hardware and firmware, the company said. The system is expected to be able to charge the fastest-charging vehicles in the US market in about 10 minutes, it said.
