Here’s the rough picture as of Friday Bitcoin ripped from around $64k on Wednesday to the mid-to-high $70s. Some prints even touched near $79k. That’s a solid 18-20% move in just a few days. Ethereum was the real standout early on. It jumped almost 18% in a single session at one point and is sitting near $2,350–$2,400. Weekly gain is closer to 25%. XRP has been even more aggressive percentage-wise. It’s back above $1.30 and has put on more than 30% over the week. Solana is holding around $90–$93 after a roughly 20% weekly climb. Dogecoin followed the usual meme pattern lagged a bit at first, then caught up with a 18–20% move to around $0.083. So what actually flipped the switch? The biggest catalyst came from outside crypto. On Wednesday the US Treasury said it would at least double its long-term bond buybacks from $2 billion to $4 billion (or more) per operation starting in September.
