On October 27, local time, Russian President Putin stated at the 8th Summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum held in Moscow that Russia is an important participant in the global natural gas market. Any attempt to exclude Russia from the global natural gas market or hinder the development of Russia's natural gas industry will have serious consequences and drive up the costs for natural gas users in other countries. Putin warned European countries using a Russian proverb: "Do not dig a pit for others, or you yourself may fall into it." Putin also noted that the escalation of tensions in the Middle East and disruptions in natural gas supply routes have increased the risk of long-term imbalance in the global natural gas market. He called for gas exporting countries to strengthen cooperation and jointly safeguard the stability of the global natural gas market. (CCTV News Global Express)
