South Korean and Indian refiners purchase about 3.5 million barrels of US crude oil for November shipment

According to traders familiar with the matter, Asian refiners from South Korea and India have recently purchased US crude oil for November loading. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) from India and SK Energy from South Korea each bought a cargo of US crude oil carried by an Aframax tanker, with approximately 750,000 barrels per shipment. GS Caltex, headquartered in Seoul, purchased about 2 million barrels of crude oil carried by a Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) from Chevron.
