Dark Defender Says XRP Will Target Wave 3 and This Will Happen

Crypto analyst Dark Defender believes XRP could target significantly higher prices if it completes its current correction and begins the next upward phase.

His latest analysis revisits an Elliott Wave structure he has tracked since the first week of September and maintains a long-term price projection of $10.1101. However, XRP must first overcome several resistance levels and confirm the corrective phase has ended before the projected advance can take shape.

In a post on X, Dark Defender explained that XRP has completed Wave 1 and appears close to finishing Wave 2. He also referenced an earlier analysis from September 12, which outlined the technical levels he continues to monitor as XRP attempts to recover.

His five-day chart presents a potential path toward $10.1101, but the analyst’s forecast depends on XRP following the expected Elliott Wave structure.

XRP Faces Resistance at $1.4445

Dark Defender’s four-hour chart identifies $1.33 as key support and $1.4445 as immediate resistance. In his September 12 analysis, he noted that XRP rebounded from $1.33 before climbing toward $1.4445, where sellers rejected the price.

The analyst viewed that rejection as consistent with his expectations. He explained that XRP’s first attempt to break above a descending resistance line could fail before the market attempted again. Therefore, he maintained his bullish outlook despite the rejection, while emphasizing that XRP needs to reclaim resistance and confirm the end of Wave 2.

Dark Defender also identified $1.3798, the 61.8% Fibonacci retracement level, as an important threshold. A sustained move above this level could strengthen XRP’s recovery, while a four-hour candle close above $1.4445 would provide stronger evidence of a potential breakout.

However, a decline below $1.33 could weaken the bullish setup. Dark Defender warned that such a move could trigger an expanded Wave C correction, exposing XRP to potential downside targets at $1.2939 and $1.2133.

RSI Shows Improving Momentum, but Resistance Remains

Dark Defender also examined the Relative Strength Index (RSI) and the Ichimoku Cloud to assess XRP’s short-term momentum.

His September 12 update recorded a four-hour RSI reading of 46.65, above its signal line at 39.41. He interpreted this crossover as a sign of improving bullish momentum in XRP’s rebound from support.

However, the Ichimoku Cloud continued to indicate overhead resistance. Dark Defender identified the $1.42 area as an important level for XRP to overcome before the short-term outlook could improve further.

These indicators suggest that buying momentum has improved, but XRP still needs to break through resistance before the chart can confirm a sustained recovery.

Five-Day Chart Maintains the $10.11 Target

Dark Defender’s longer-term chart places XRP’s initial advance toward $1.6992 within Wave 1, followed by the corrective Wave 2. If XRP completes this correction as he expects, he projects a potential Wave 3 advance toward $7.0786. His subsequent wave projections could then take the price to $10.1101.

The analyst also identified $1.8815 as a significant level that XRP must reclaim to strengthen the longer-term bullish outlook. However, his projection depends on the market completing the expected wave structure.

For now, Dark Defender’s forecast depends on XRP holding support and breaking through resistance. The $10.11 target remains a technical projection, not a confirmed destination.

Wall Street giants to release financial reports next week: stock trading revenue expected to approach $19 billion, "everyone is a winner" may be a thing of the past

According to analyst expectations compiled by Bloomberg, the combined equity trading revenue of the five major U.S. banks in the third quarter will approach $19 billion, but fixed income trading revenue is expected to drop to its lowest point of the year, and M&A activity has also cooled. Meanwhile, AI-driven cash optimization tools may lead to deposit outflows, sparking concerns about bank stocks in the market. Analysts believe that while the profit performance of each bank may further diverge, market concerns about the impact of AI may be overblown.
