Still, shares fell, showing how lofty expectations from AI beneficiaries have become. Chip stocks including Micron (MU), Nvidia (NVDA) and Intel (INTC) also slipped in the U.S. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM, TW:2330): The chip giant's September sales rose 55% on year, but they were down 0.6% from the previous month. Its U.S.-listed ADRs slipped. PepsiCo (PEP): The snacks and soda maker cut its earnings outlook for the year but said it saw improvement in its underperforming North American business; shares rose.
