CME Group Logs 22% Jump in Q3 International Average Daily Volume

04:43 AM EDT, 10/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- CME Group (CME) reported Thursday international average daily volume of 9 million derivatives contracts in Q3, up 22% from a year earlier. In Q3, average daily volume in Europe, the Middle East and Africa increased by 20% to 6.5 million contracts, Asia Pacific rose 28% to 2.1 million, Canada gained 21% to 194,000, and Latin America climbed 24% to 188,000, CME said. Globally, including the US, average daily volume was up 16% to 29.4 million contracts, CME said. On trades reported outside the US, volume was driven by growth in energy products, up 40%, agricultural products, up 28%, and equity index products, up 24%, CME said.
