C.H. Robinson's RXO Acquisition to 'Meaningfully' Widen Gap With Competitors, UBS Securities Says
MT newswire2026/10/06 15:4411:44 AM EDT, 10/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- C.H. Robinson Worldwide's (CHRW) proposed acquisition of RXO (RXO) will help it "meaningfully" widen the gap with other truck brokers approaching 20% of the market, UBS Securities said in a note Monday. Based on assumptions for cost synergies and revenue, UBS analysts projected EPS accretion of $1.15 at the midpoint of their upside and downside scenarios, which would lift their 2028 EPS outlook to $10.35 from $9.20 currently. The impact of customer overlap may be limited, analysts said, citing initial feedback from industry contacts. They said RXO's previous combination with Coyote is likely to provide insights on how to manage the process. The larger scale of the combined company, coupled with effective use of artificial intelligence and technology, can reduce cost structure and make C.H. Robinson more attractive to shippers, who are increasingly looking at risk management from a legal and capacity perspective, according to the note. UBS Securities maintained its buy rating on the stock, with a price target of $230. C.H. Robinson shares were down 4% in Tuesday trading. Price: 135.01, Change: -5.60, Percent Change: -3.98

BUZZ - Levi Strauss shares drop due to weak sales in the US and Europe
On October 8, Levi Strauss (LEVI.N) shares fell 1.3% in pre-market trading to $19.25 after the company reported lower-than-expected sales in the U.S. and Europe. BTIG commented: “This quarter, the European direct-to-consumer (DTC) business was hit by unusually warm weather, but as temperatures return to normal, foot traffic and sales trends have improved, maintaining a positive outlook in early Q4.” The brokerage also noted that the company remains strong in wholesale, e-commerce, and market share in jeans, but its “back-to-school” marketing campaign did not meet expectations. Benefiting from tariff refunds on Wednesday, the company raised its annual profit forecast and is betting on strong demand for its premium jeans and sweaters during the holiday season. Sixteen analysts have an average “buy” rating; the median price target is $27, according to LSEG. The stock has risen 6% year-to-date as of the previous close.
