JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon stated in an interview that Mythos AI, a model under Anthropic, could increase global cybersecurity risks by approximately 10 times.

According to Jinse Finance APP, JPMorgan (JPM.US) CEO Jamie Dimon stated in an interview that the Mythos AI model developed by Anthropic could increase global cybersecurity risks by approximately 10 times. He warned that with the rapid development of technologies such as AI agents, companies are facing new types of security vulnerabilities that did not exist in the past.

Dimon noted that even before the rapid advancement of generative AI, cybersecurity was already a major long-term concern for companies. The emergence of AI has created new vulnerabilities that were previously unknown. He pointed out that AI agents and technologies like Mythos could be used to cause disruption, and the resulting security risks are not just theoretical concerns but real-world threats.

It is worth noting that despite Dimon's warnings about cybersecurity risks brought by AI, JPMorgan itself remains one of the most proactive banks in deploying AI technologies. According to the 2026 Evident AI Index, JPMorgan has been ranked as the world's most advanced bank in AI application for the fifth consecutive year, with Capital One (COF.US) and Royal Bank of Canada (RY.US) following closely behind.

Discussing the data center construction fueled by the AI boom, Dimon stated that data centers should be built in regions where they can obtain support from local communities. He pointed out that many U.S. states have ample electricity supplies and are willing to welcome data center projects. With the rapid growth in AI model training and inference needs, power supply and the local community's acceptance of large-scale data center construction are becoming critical factors for industry expansion.

Meanwhile, Anthropic is accelerating its listing plans. According to earlier reports, the company could start its IPO process as early as mid-November, aiming to enter the U.S. stock market before Thanksgiving on November 26 or, at the latest, by the end of this year. Market sources indicate that Anthropic’s potential valuation could reach between $180 billion and $200 billion, but the precise valuation and offering scale have yet to be finalized. The company also plans to hold a meeting with potential investors on October 14 to prepare for the IPO.

BUZZ-Australia's Kelsian shares rise as asset sale triggers Morningstar's cautious optimism

Latest developments on October 7th – Kelsian Group (KLS.AX) shares briefly rose 1% to A$3.93 before narrowing gains to 0.3% by midday in Sydney. Morningstar holds a positive view on the transport operator’s recently announced A$150 million (US$104.76 million) sale of travel assets in mid-September. The investment research firm noted that this divestment relieves the transportation and travel operator from reliance on discretionary-spending businesses such as resorts, cruises, and tours. It also stated that the sale enables management to focus more on core operations and moderately reduces capital intensity. However, Morningstar pointed out that the sale means profits from the marine segment will still be "discretionary in nature." It added that the sale will leave the company’s earnings mainly dependent on its US interstate coach business, which is characterized by short-term contracts without cost-adjustment mechanisms and serves highly volatile sectors such as technology, oil, and gas. Year to date, the share price is down 8.2%. (US$1 = A$1.4318) (For the convenience of non-English speakers, Reuters automatically translates its reports into several other languages.
