Market Chatter: Stellantis to Produce Fewer Vehicles in Italy for 2026
MT newswire2026/10/06 13:5609:56 AM EDT, 10/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Stellantis (STLA) is estimated to assemble around 10% fewer vehicles in Italy for 2026 than previous projections due to production halts at its Mirafiori plant, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing the Fim-Cisl labor union. The company is forecasted to produce about 450,000 cars and light commercial vehicles, compared with an earlier target of 500,000, while hybrid Fiat 500 production at Mirafiori is seen at 60,000, down from the earlier goal of 100,000, Bloomberg cited Ferdinando Uliano, the union's secretary general, as saying. Stellantis and Fim-Cisl did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally.
