IBM, Red Hat Say Lightwell Remediated Over 400 Unknown Open Source Vulnerabilities in Java Libraries
MT newswire2026/10/06 13:3709:37 AM EDT, 10/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- IBM (IBM) and its unit Red Hat said Tuesday that their joint initiative for securing the open source software supply chain, Lightwell, has identified and remediated more than 400 previously unknown vulnerabilities in Java libraries. The companies also announced the general availability of Lightwell Clearinghouse, a type of annual subscription for the service that allows enterprise customers to submit specific open source software dependencies for priority review and remediation.
