Diversified Healthcare Trust Signs 15-Year Triple Net Lease for Seven Skilled Nursing Facilities in Colorado

08:51 AM EDT, 10/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Diversified Healthcare Trust (DHC) said Tuesday it has signed a new 15-year triple net lease with independent operating units of the healthcare company Ensign (ENSG) for a portfolio of seven skilled nursing facilities in Colorado, effective Oct. 1. The new lease carries an annual rent of $8 million, an increase over the previous year's rent, according to a statement. The REIT further said that the net lease structure is expected to reduce Diversified Healthcare Trust's future capital expenditure by shifting property costs to the tenant, with ongoing cash flow supported by annual rent escalators tied to the Consumer Price Index.
