Uber Technologies to Buy ezCater for $2.3 Billion

08:33 AM EDT, 10/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Uber Technologies (UBER) has agreed to acquire ezCater, a US platform for workplace catering and meals, for $2.3 billion in cash, the ride-hailing company said Tuesday. The deal, expected to close in the coming months, will expand Uber's catering orders and give restaurants access to larger orders and more customers, it said. ezCater connects businesses with more than 140,000 restaurants and generated more than $2.5 billion in gross bookings over the past 12 months, up in the high teens from a year earlier, Uber said.
