Xanadu, GlobalFoundries Collaborate to Scale Production of Photonic Quantum Components

07:41 AM EDT, 10/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Xanadu Quantum Technologies (XNDU) and GlobalFoundries (GFS) have entered a multiyear partnership to accelerate the development and production of advanced photonic components for utility-scale quantum computing, the quantum computing company said Tuesday. The companies will initially focus on industrializing Xanadu's superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors and ultra-low-loss silicon nitride photonics using GlobalFoundries' 300mm production line, Xanadu said. Financial terms were not disclosed. Shares of Xanadu were 6.5% higher in Tuesday premarket activity.
