Applied Digital Secures Potential Power Capacity of Up to 1 GW in Finland for AI Data Center Campus

06:39 AM EDT, 10/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Applied Digital (APLD) has secured access to up to 1 gigawatt of potential power capacity in Finland as it plans to build an AI Factory campus that could scale to 1 GW, with initial power availability expected in 2028, the company said Tuesday. Applied Digital has started marketing the site to hyperscale customers, though its near-term development priorities remain focused on its US portfolio, it said.
