Lycia Therapeutics Files for IPO

By Josh Beckerman Lycia Therapeutics, which is developing drugs to degrade disease-causing extracellular proteins, filed for an initial public offering Monday. The South San Francisco, Calif., company has an initial focus on addressing autoimmune, inflammatory and allergic diseases. Lycia is seeking a Nasdaq Global Market listing under the symbol LYCA. In June, the company reported a $75 million Series D financing co-led by Janus Henderson Investors and Balyasny Asset Management. In 2020, Lycia exited stealth mode with a $50 million commitment from founding investor Versant Ventures. Jefferies, TD Cowen, Evercore ISI and Guggenheim Securities are joint book-running managers.
