MT newswire2026/10/05 18:2902:29 PM EDT, 10/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The ISM's services index fell to 54.9 in September from 55.4 in August, with declines in the readings for production and new orders, but gains for employment and prices. The S&P Global nonmanufacturing index was revised slightly higher in September to 58.8 from the flash 58.7 estimate and was above the 56.5 reading in August. Both readings indicate expansion in the factory sector, in line with most of the regional data released.
