Discovery Silver Receives Environmental and Land Use Permits for Cordero Project in Mexico
MT newswire2026/10/05 17:3701:37 PM EDT, 10/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Discovery Silver (DSV.TO) received the environmental impact assessment or the Manifesto de Impacto Ambiental (MIA) permit and the Change of Land Use permit for its Cordero silver project from Mexico's Federal Environmental Department (SEMARNAT), it said in a statement on Monday. The company said the permits were the last required for the project and it can now advance Cordero, located in Chihuahua State, Mexico, towards development with the receipt of the MIA and Change of Land Use permits. "We want to thank the Mexican regulators and authorities for their trust in us as we advance Cordero forward as a model of sustainability for all stakeholders. Cordero is a large-scale silver project that will produce the right mix of critical metals the world needs," chief executive Tony Makuch said in a release.
