U.S. stocks opened with the Dow Jones down 0.1%, the S&P 500 up 0.07%, and the Nasdaq up 0.1%. Leading tech stocks were mixed: Intel (INTC.US) fell 2.8%, as reports indicated that TSMC and Elon Musk's Terafab are in discussions over potential cooperation. TSMC (TSM.US) rose 1.1%, and Nvidia (NVDA.US) climbed 0.6%. Vaxcyte surged 53% after its pneumococcal vaccine achieved its targets in late-stage clinical trials.
