Natera, Alliance Foundation Trials Launch Phase 3 Trial for Breast Cancer Treatment Strategy
MT newswire2026/10/05 13:1009:10 AM EDT, 10/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Natera (NTRA) and research organization Alliance Foundation Trials have launched a phase 3 trial evaluating a novel molecular residual disease-guided treatment strategy for patients with intermediate and high-risk ER-positive/HER2-negative early breast cancer, the parties said Monday. The treatment strategy will pair investigational oral selective estrogen receptor degrader giredestrant, developed by Roche Group member Genentech, with longitudinal Signatera Genome MRD monitoring to identify patients who may benefit from treatment escalation with a CDK4/6 inhibitor, according to a statement. Alliance Foundation Trials expects to enroll over 2,000 patients with stage II-III ER-positive/HER2-negative breast cancer who are eligible for endocrine therapy at around 200 sites across the US and globally, the statement said.
