Update: Amprius Technologies Selects Caminus to Produce Drone Batteries in US

Amprius Technologies (AMPX) has signed a contract manufacturing agreement with Indiana-based battery startup Caminus to produce its silicon anode pouch cells, Caminus said Monday. Caminus will use Amprius' silicon anodes in batteries for about 60,000 combat drones, with annual capacity potentially reaching 800,000 packs, according to a report by The Information. Caminus said it will manufacture the cells at its Indianapolis facility, covering production from partial assembly of Amprius-supplied components through full cell production. Qualification builds are underway, with volume production planned for Q1 2027, the company said. Shares of Amprius Technologies were 1.3% higher in Monday premarket activity.
