GE HealthCare Technologies Agrees to Acquire Sofie Biosciences for $945 Million

08:32 AM EDT, 10/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- GE HealthCare Technologies (GEHC) said Monday it has entered a definitive agreement to acquire Sofie Biosciences for $945 million in cash. Upon closing, Sofie Biosciences will become part of GE HealthCare's Pharmaceutical Diagnostics segment, while continuing to operate as an independent manufacturing partner for its existing customers, GE HealthCare said. The deal, expected to close in H1 of 2027, includes US rights to FAPI-74, an investigational PET radiotracer being evaluated in a phase 3 trial, the company said. The acquisition is expected to be accretive to revenue growth, adjusted EBIT margin and adjusted EPS in the first full year of ownership, it said.
