07:46 AM EDT, 10/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Gilat Satellite Networks (GILT) said Monday that its Peruvian unit has signed a $28 million contract with Pronatel to upgrade broadband connectivity across the country's Ica region. Pronatel is Peru's national telecommunications program, Gilat said. Construction is expected to be completed by mid-2027, followed by a seven-year operational phase, the company said. Gilat said the upgraded network will deliver faster internet speeds to public institutions across the Ica region.
