Zhitong Finance APP has learned that on Friday, NVIDIA (NVDA.US) surged at the opening, with an intraday increase of up to 2.8%, reaching a new record high and pushing its market capitalization above 5.7 trillion USD. According to The Information, citing sources and a SoftBank statement, NVIDIA and SoftBank have each completed the final 10 billion USD investment in OpenAI's latest funding round, fulfilling their respective commitments of 30 billion USD each. Meanwhile, after the release of the latest US non-farm payroll data, the market reduced its bets on a Federal Reserve rate hike in October, collectively driving a strong rebound in US tech stocks.
In addition, NVIDIA recently increased its stock buyback authorization by 150 billion USD, raising the total repurchase plan to 235 billion USD, and expects to execute this plan before the 2028 fiscal year. This series of positive developments continues to support its share price.
