CareTrust REIT to Acquire 45 New Care Homes in UK for $1.45 Billion; Raises Full-Year Normalized FFO Guidance

04:59 AM EDT, 10/02/2026 (MT Newswires) -- CareTrust REIT (CTRE) has agreed to acquire 45 new care homes from LNT Care Developments for about 1.1 billion British pounds ($1.45 billion) as it builds a senior housing operating portfolio platform across the UK, the company said Friday. The deal will close in stages, with the first tranche of 24 homes valued at about 576 million pounds completed on Thursday, CareTrust said. The remaining 21 homes, priced at about 504 million pounds, will be acquired once construction is finished and regulatory approvals are secured. CareTrust said its pipeline of "near-term, actionable opportunities" totals about $525 million, excluding the 21 LNT care homes still under contract. The company also raised its full-year 2026 guidance and now projects normalized funds from operations of $2.06 to $2.09 per share. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $2.05.
