04:39 PM EDT, 10/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Matador Resources (MTDR) said it has closed its acquisition of Paloma Permian, a portfolio company of EnCap, for a cash consideration of $1.255 billion, subject to adjustments. The deal will add 59 approved drilling permits on Paloma acreage, Matador said Thursday, adding it expects to start drilling operations on up to 25 wells linked to Paloma acreage by the end of 2027.
