Kyndryl Launches AI Innovation Lab in Dallas Area

09:01 AM EDT, 10/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Kyndryl (KD) said Thursday that it has launched an artificial intelligence innovation lab in the Dallas, Texas, area. The IT infrastructure services company said the lab will focus on modernizing customers' technology to work with AI. It said its research found that 34% of organizations are modernizing to enable AI capabilities, while 29% are doing so to reduce costs. The lab will bring customers and Kyndryl teams together to test AI projects, build prototypes, and develop plans for putting AI into production, the company said. The lab will also use the company's Cyber Defense Operations Center to provide real-time visibility, monitoring, and collaborative analysis among complex IT environments, it added. Kyndryl said it expects the lab to create up to 300 jobs in AI, technology consulting, and design engineering over the next four years. Shares of the company were up 3.7% pre-bell.
