Pursuit Attractions and Hospitality Proposes Sightseeing Tram Near Glacier National Park

07:23 AM EDT, 10/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Pursuit Attractions and Hospitality (PRSU) said Thursday it has submitted a proposal to the US Forest Service for a special use permit to develop and operate along the slopes of Columbia Mountain near Glacier National Park and Hungry Horse, Montana. The proposed Glacier View Tram would be a year-round mountain sightseeing ride consisting of two 100-passenger cabins ascending more than 3,000 feet in roughly six minutes, the company said. The company said the project would not require taxpayer funding and the land would remain federally managed public land.
