05:11 AM EDT, 10/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Willis Towers Watson (WTW) said Thursday it will assume full control of its joint venture, Al-Futtaim Willis, in the United Arab Emirates after purchasing Al-Futtaim's 51% stake. Willis Towers Watson, an advisory and broking services firm, said it received regulatory approval from the Central Bank of the UAE and the Central Bank of Bahrain for the ownership change. Financial terms were not disclosed. WTW said the deal builds on its recent expansion in Saudi Arabia, where it established insurance and reinsurance broking businesses. The company said bringing Al-Futtaim Willis under full ownership will allow clients in the UAE and wider region to access its broader range of services.
