Pfizer's Tilrekimig Meets Phase 2 Goal in Atopic Dermatitis Study

04:20 AM EDT, 10/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Pfizer (PFE) investigational drug tilrekimig met the primary endpoint in a phase 2 atopic dermatitis study, showing significant improvement over placebo at Week 16, the company said Thursday. EASI-75 rates were 62.5% for the 450 mg dose administered every two weeks in Stage 1 versus 19.9% for placebo, while Stage 2 rates were 58.5%, 61.0% and 47.8% for the 400 mg, 200 mg and 50 mg doses administered every four weeks, respectively, versus 9.1% for placebo, the company said. Pfizer added that tilrekimig was well tolerated, with adverse-event rates broadly comparable with placebo, no dose-dependent safety signals and no treatment-related serious adverse events reported in either stage. The company said it has initiated Phase 3 trials of tilrekimig in atopic dermatitis and asthma and is advancing a Phase 2b/3 study in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
