Russian government submits federal budget draft for 2027-2029: minimum living allowance and minimum wage both increased by 6.8%

(1) The Russian government press office stated that the Russian government has submitted the draft federal budget for 2027-2029 to the State Duma. (2) According to the draft, the minimum subsistence level in 2027 will be increased by 6.8%, reaching an average of 20,227 rubles per person across Russia. This will help to raise the amount of subsidies and social benefits calculated based on this indicator. (3) The minimum wage standard in 2027 will also be increased by 6.8%, reaching 28,935 rubles. (4) In 2027, the minimum subsistence level for Russia's working-age population will be 22,047 rubles, for retirees 17,395 rubles, and for children 19,620 rubles.
