Albertsons appointed Cody Perdue as interim chief financial officer as the company continues to search for a permanent finance chief.

Perdue succeeds Sharon McCollam, who had previously announced her retirement from the CFO role. She will stay on in an advisory capacity through Feb. 27.

Perdue currently serves as senior vice president of treasury, investor relations and risk management. He will continue overseeing those functions while interim CFO, Albertsons said.

The company also on Wednesday said it was appointing three new board members, effective Oct. 14. They include Bill Boltz, currently executive vice president of merchandising at Lowe's; Chris Drumgoole, the operating chief at Aligned Data Centers; and former Food Lion president Meg Ham.

Earlier this month, Albertsons named former eBay and Hewlett Packard chief Meg Whitman to a new post of executive chair.
