Bitget UEX Daily | PCE Comes in Below Expectations; Tech Stocks Rebound; HPE Wins $1.2 Billion AI Order (September 30)
2026/09/30 20:42
I. Hot News Highlights
Federal Reserve & Inflation
Softer PCE eases immediate tightening pressure
August headline PCE inflation was 0.3% month over month and 3.4% year over year. Core PCE rose 0.2% monthly and 3.0% annually. Methodology changes and historical revisions also affected the release.
Market Impact: The softer reading supports risk appetite, but slower tightening is not the same as the start of an easing cycle. Energy prices and subsequent employment data remain important.
US Economy
GDP revised higher; private employment continues growing
Second-quarter real GDP growth was revised to an annualized 2.2%. September ADP private employment increased by 90,000, following a revised 36,000 gain in August.
Market Impact: Resilient growth reduces immediate recession concerns but may keep longer-term financing costs elevated. Earnings growth must offset that pressure to sustain equity valuations.
International Commodities
Oil rebounds; Brent contract rollover requires care
WTI settled at $90.42 per barrel, up 1.2%. Expiring November Brent settled at $103.50, up 0.9%; the more active December contract was quoted at $98.03, up 1.9%.
Market Impact: Higher energy costs could offset some inflation relief. The gap between November and December Brent means a rollover-related price change should not be mistaken for a sudden market selloff.
II. Market Review
Commodities & Forex
Spot gold was $4,152.86 per ounce, down 0.7%, at approximately 13:40 Eastern time. Spot silver was $60.18, down 2.1%. WTI settled at $90.42, while December Brent was quoted at $98.03. The Dollar Index was 101.20, down 0.20%, in the verified report.
Driver Analysis: Softer inflation did not produce a uniform rally. Energy costs and long-term rate pressure remain constraints on precious metals and other rate-sensitive assets.
Cryptocurrency Performance
BTC traded at approximately 83,618.47 USDT, up 0.05% over a rolling 24 hours, with approximately $240.81 million in Bitget pair turnover. ETH traded at approximately 2,671.72 USDT, down 0.72%, with approximately $131.26 million in pair turnover. These volumes represent the corresponding Bitget spot pairs, not the entire market.
CoinGecko showed total cryptocurrency market capitalization of approximately $2.97 trillion and market-wide 24-hour turnover of approximately $100.7 billion.
Large-Holder Positioning: Strategy purchased 1,665 BTC during September 21–27 for approximately $142.7 million, averaging $85,681. Total holdings reached 847,666 BTC, with an aggregate average cost of $75,437. BitMine added 17,362 ETH in its latest week, reaching 6,001,302 ETH, including 5,067,309 staked. These September 28 disclosures are weekly figures, not purchases made today.
Price–Volume Analysis: BTC was broadly flat while ETH declined, so the snapshot does not show a synchronized breakout. Corporate treasury purchases demonstrate continuing allocation demand, but trading volume alone cannot establish whale accumulation. Confirmation requires successive volume observations, ETF flows and updated holdings disclosures.

Sector Observation
AI servers and networking: HPE’s Vultr order and higher networking targets provide additional demand evidence. Delivery, margins and collections will determine the earnings contribution.
Chip-design software: Synopsys and OpenAI announced GPT-Synopsys, combining a specialized model with EDA tools. Adoption, verification reliability and incremental revenue are the next tests.
III. Featured US Equity Analysis
1. HPE (HPE) — Order execution follows stronger growth targets
Event Overview: HPE announced a $1.2 billion Vultr order for AMD Helios systems and raised its fiscal 2027 networking revenue growth outlook to the high teens–low twenties.
Market Interpretation: Integrating compute, networking and cooling expands HPE’s role in AI projects. Order value, however, is not immediate revenue or profit.
What to Watch: Deployment schedules, networking margins, order conversion and working-capital requirements.
2. Synopsys (SNPS) — Specialized AI enters engineering workflows
Event Overview: Synopsys and OpenAI agreed to develop GPT-Synopsys with revenue sharing. Synopsys also announced a multiyear Amazon collaboration covering chip IP, cloud and AI engineering.
Market Interpretation: Better engineering productivity could increase software value, but technical demonstrations do not establish production reliability or immediate financial returns.
What to Watch: Customer deployments, pricing, verified design outcomes and incremental revenue.
3. Micron (MU) — Earnings must validate memory demand
Event Overview: Micron scheduled its fourth-quarter earnings call for September 30 at 14:30 Mountain time, equivalent to October 1 at 04:30 Beijing time. Unverified earnings figures are not included here.
Market Interpretation: The key question is how HBM, DRAM and NAND demand translates into revenue, margins and cash generation.
What to Watch: Forward guidance, HBM deliveries, capacity ramp-up, capital spending and free cash flow.
IV. Market & Project Updates
1. Strategy continues BTC accumulation. Its latest weekly purchase lifted holdings to 847,666 BTC.
2. BitMine exceeds 6 million ETH. Approximately 5.07 million ETH are staked, making staking income another factor alongside token prices.
3. Synopsys and OpenAI pursue specialized AI. The collaboration targets chip-design workflows and joint commercialization.
4. HPE wins an AI infrastructure order. Vultr’s $1.2 billion order uses AMD Helios systems.

The upcoming call and release times follow company and issuing-agency schedules.
Event Preview: Watch ISM new orders and prices, followed by payroll growth, unemployment and wages. These releases will test whether softer inflation can coexist with resilient growth.
Institutional Views: BMO economist Sal Guatieri said the inflation reading could give the Fed time to wait, without ruling out another year-end hike. Our interpretation: near-term sentiment has improved, but long-term rates, energy costs and earnings delivery remain binding constraints.

23 days after launch, consumer-grade Agent explodes! Morgan Stanley's in-depth analysis of "6 key issues about Muse"
Morgan Stanley believes that in the short term, Muse should focus on user growth, while in the long term, it is expected to achieve commercialization through consumer transactions, enterprise services, and APIs. The high computational cost is both a pressure and may become a competitive barrier; Meta's existing CPU reserves are sufficient to support further expansion. Meanwhile, the collaboration with Amazon will affect the Agent e-commerce entry point, and the enterprise market provides new revenue opportunities. The current valuation has already reflected some expectations, and the key going forward remains in the realization of commercialization.
AI frenzy faces the “funding cutoff line” test? Renowned Wall Street strategist warns: With the US dollar and Treasury yields not peaking, risk appetite remains difficult to recover
Michael Hartnett from Bank of America stated that investors will avoid higher-risk trades until signs emerge that the recent surge in the US dollar has peaked. The strategist also noted in a report that market turbulence may persist until bond yields retreat from their highest levels in more than two decades. He suggested that investors should "buy the dip" in heavily hit assets and prefers to increase bond holdings in portfolios.
