Eupraxia Says Resolve Trial Updated Data Suggest Annual Dosing Possible in EoE Patients

MT newswireMT newswire2026/09/30 16:27
12:27 PM EDT, 09/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Eupraxia Pharmaceuticals (EPRX.TO), up 7.9% to a record high on last look, said on Wednesday updated clinical data from the Phase 1b/2a Resolve study suggest that an annual dosing regimen to treat patients with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) may be possible. EoE is an inflammatory disease where white blood cells migrate into and become trapped in the esophagus, causing pain and difficulty swallowing food. The Resolve trial is assessing the company's corticosteroid drug candidate EP-104GI, which is administered as an injection into the esophageal wall using Eupraxia's Diffusphere technology, to provide local delivery of the drug. The 36-week and 52-week data from the highest dosing cohorts of the Resolve trial "further strengthen[ed]" the treatment effects of EP-104GI in patients with EoE, the company said. "In total, we have observed 64% of patients remaining in clinical remission over this 52-week period in addition to clinically meaningful histologic improvements. If achieved, an annual dosing regimen could align well with ACG Guidelines supporting routine endoscopic monitoring of EoE patients," said Chief Executive James Helliwell. The company has not observed any Serious Adverse Events to date. Eupraxia shares were last seen up CA$0.94 to a record high of CA$12.80 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
