09:08 AM EDT, 09/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Eli Lilly (LLY) said Wednesday that a phase 3b study of Ebglyss as a monotherapy for adults and adolescents with moderate-to-severe hand and foot atopic dermatitis achieved its primary and secondary endpoints at week 16. Data showed that 53% of the patients using Ebglyss saw clear or almost clear skin on their hands and feet by week 16, compared with 27% on placebo, the company said. Additionally, 57% of the patients experienced significant and rapid improvements in hand and foot itch, while 59% observed pain relief, both versus 19% on placebo, the company added. The study reported treatment-emergent adverse events in 41.8% patients receiving Ebglyss, with nasopharyngitis and upper respiratory tract infection the most common adverse reactions, Lilly said. The company said it plans to submit the data to selected global regulatory authorities for a potential label update to include localized atopic dermatitis with moderate-to-severe hand and foot involvement. Ebglyss is approved in the US to treat adults and children 12 years and older who weigh at least 88 pounds with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis that is not well controlled with prescription therapies, Eli Lilly said.
