Hartford Names Morris Tooker as Next CEO, Christopher Swift to Become Executive Chair

07:34 AM EDT, 09/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Hartford Insurance (HIG) named President A. Morris Tooker as CEO, succeeding Christopher Swift, starting Mar. 1, 2027, the company said on Wednesday. Swift, who is set to advise on strategy and oversee the board during the transition, will become executive chair of the board, while Tooker will join the board on Oct. 1, it said. Tooker joined The Hartford in 2015 as chief underwriting officer and most recently serving as president, the company added.
