According to a Fox News report, Google (GOOG.US) has announced plans to invest at least $15.2 billion in Finland's digital infrastructure sector over the next two years, marking one of the largest technology investments in Finland's history. Finnish President Alexander Stubb stated that this investment reflects a combination of factors, including abundant clean energy, a secure operating environment, and an expanding technology industry, making Finland an increasingly popular destination for artificial intelligence infrastructure development. "Companies decide for themselves where to invest in building data centers. We are of course very pleased that Google has chosen to invest," said Stubb. "They have done so because we are able to provide clean energy—95% of our electricity is clean energy. It is also because we have security systems capable of defending against all kinds of cyberattacks. And, of course, because we enjoy a relatively cold climate."
