Strabag, Züblin open Germany’s K20 A7 Elbmarsch viaduct 7 months early

- Traffic opened on Sept. 26, 2026, on the A7 Hochstraße Elbmarsch section, a key freight corridor through Hamburg’s port.
- The project widened the route to eight lanes from six under a DEGES contract, with construction running from May 2020 to Sept. 2026.
- Works covered 3.84 km of bridge structures, including major reconstruction while keeping traffic flowing.
- BIM was deployed at scale in bridge construction to coordinate planning, construction, logistics, and traffic management.
