Pi Network Prediction: Pi Token Crashed 14% After v27 Upgrade

  coinpedia.org 12 m

Pi Network’s native token PI has dropped nearly 14% to around $0.0808 following the launch of the much awaited Protocol v27 upgrade. The sharp sell-off has added to concerns around PI, which is about 97.2% below its all-time high price.

This continuous drop has raised concerns about the future of the Pi token; will Pi coin ever recover?

PI Network Goes Live With Protocol v27 Upgrade

Pi Network rolled out its Protocol v27 upgrade on Mainnet on September 15. The update is one of the network’s major technical upgrades, adding new tools for smart contracts, decentralized apps, and future DeFi use.

Protocol v27 brings more flexible smart contract authentication, giving apps and accounts new ways to approve transactions.

It also adds the infrastructure needed for automated market maker (AMM) liquidity pools and Pi’s planned decentralized exchange.

Despite these new features, PI’s price has moved lower, showing that network upgrades do not always lead to an immediate rise in token value.

Clarity Act Failure Adds More Pressure

PI’s price fall became sharper after heavy selling hit the broader crypto market following the CLARITY Act’s failure to advance in the U.S. Senate.

The timing of the Protocol 27 launch may have also triggered a “sell-the-news” reaction. Traders who bought PI ahead of the upgrade may have sold after the event.

As a result, PI fell about 14% to near $0.0822, while the token is down nearly 77% over the past year.

Pi Network Price Prediction: What Next?

PI is now trading near the $0.0822 area, with immediate support around $0.080. If PI holds above $0.0803, buyers could try to push the price back toward $0.0908.

This is the first level PI needs to reclaim before another attempt at the major $0.10 resistance. A break above $0.10 could signal stronger recovery.

However, a break below $0.0803 could bring more selling pressure and push PI toward the next major support near $0.0703, close to its July low. The 45.1 million trading volume also shows strong activity during the latest drop.

For now, PI needs to reclaim $0.0908 before a move toward $0.10 becomes possible.

Nineteen out of twenty, Chair Waller again failed to deliver the Fed dot plot “assignment”

Federal Reserve Chairman Waller has twice refused to enter his interest rate forecasts on the dot plot, bluntly stating that the tool is "of no use for policy implementation." The dot plot, which has been in operation since 2011 and is published four times a year to show officials' interest rate expectations, is an important reference for the market to assess the direction of monetary policy. However, its lack of consensus, anonymity, and the participation of non-voting governors have long been criticized. Previous chairs have had varying attitudes toward the tool, but Waller's stance is the toughest.
