NFI Group's New Flyer to Supply Heavy-Duty Transit Buses to Central Ohio Transit Authority

08:13 AM EDT, 09/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- NFI Group (NFI.TO) subsidiary New Flyer of America has secured a contract to supply up to 45 Xcelsior compressed natural gas heavy-duty transit buses to the Central Ohio Transit Authority. The contract covers a firm order of 12 buses and an option to purchase 33 additional buses, NFI said Tuesday. NFI said the order supports the launch of a new bus rapid transit service in Columbus and nearby communities. NFI said New Flyer has partnered with the Central Ohio Transit Authority since 2000.
