ProQR Therapeutics Doses First Participant in Phase 1 Trial of Liver Disease Treatment

09:23 AM EDT, 09/09/2026 (MT Newswires) -- ProQR Therapeutics (PRQR) said Wednesday it has dosed the first participant in a phase 1 trial of AX-0811, a potential disease-modifying treatment for cholestatic liver diseases. The study will evaluate AX-0811's safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamic biomarkers in healthy volunteers, ProQR Therapeutics said. Target engagement data from the first two cohorts are expected in early January 2027, the company said.
