According to Kpler data on Tuesday, the number of cargo ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz on Monday was 7, compared to 8 the previous day. Iran had previously warned that energy infrastructure in the Gulf region—including U.S. oil and gas-related assets—remains vulnerable. However, traffic through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait increased. Kpler data shows that a total of 29 cargo ships transited the Bab el-Mandeb Strait on Monday, up from 17 the previous day. Some vessels might have crossed both straits with their transponders turned off, but these are not included in the statistics.
