BUZZ-Mexico's Televisa plunges after removal from benchmark index

** The selloff follows S&P Dow Jones Indices' preliminary decision to remove the company from Mexico's main stock index .MXX in its semiannual rebalancing
** Monday's losses erase 3.6 billion pesos ($212.9 million) from Televisa's market value
** Televisa's planned removal from the benchmark catches the market by surprise, says Carlos Hernandez, director of consultancy Vardez Capital
** "The market is also using the rebalancing to price in concerns about the company's fundamentals," said Humberto Calzada, chief economist at Rankia Latin America
** Televisa, the world's largest producer of Spanish-language content, has been reporting weak results and faces structural pressures as audiences shift toward digital platforms
** The media group's shares sink to 7.71 pesos, their lowest level in more than a year
** Petrochemical company Alpek ALPEKA.MX, whose shares tick up 1.15%, is set to replace Televisa in the index
