Ripple is bringing its crypto strategy in college sports to the Swamp, reaching a multi-year marketing agreement with the University of Florida. Starting this football season, the XRP logo will appear on the field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

Florida Athletics announced the agreement on Friday, stating that the XRP brand will be displayed on the field as well as on digital assets and event signage in Gainesville.

Beyond marketing, Ripple has also pledged to support financial and tech education for Florida’s student-athletes and the broader campus community, covering traditional finance and digital assets. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

"Florida has a long history of embracing innovation and technology to enhance our fan experience and drive our programs forward," said University of Florida Athletics Director Scott Stricklin in a statement. "Ripple has established itself as an innovation leader in fintech, and we are excited to welcome XRP to Gator Nation."

This deal marks Ripple's latest move into college sports. Earlier this year, the company reached a multi-year agreement to place the XRP logo on the Kansas Jayhawks men’s basketball team uniforms—a rare attempt by a crypto brand to break into major college program markets.

This brand promotion comes as the price of XRP remains stable with little fluctuation. According to data from CoinGecko, the token was trading at about $1.41 on Friday, up 0.6% over 24 hours, up approximately 34.9% over the past 30 days, but still down about 49.8% over the last year.

The demand for spot XRP ETFs, which saw recent positivity, has cooled: on September 4, the fund flows were roughly even, and the recent influx of funds has ended. The XRP ETF tracker now marks XRP sentiment as "neutral," though cumulative net inflows are still around $1.6 billion.

The sponsorship agreement comes as Ripple increases mainstream exposure, following years of building its payments, custody, and treasury businesses, and the recent launch of its RLUSD stablecoin.
