Glonghui, September 4th — According to market sources, Kioxia recently held a technical briefing on semiconductor memory and other technologies. Kioxia plans to improve the processing speed of NAND flash memory with CXL modules specifically designed for artificial intelligence workloads, aiming to replace part of the DRAM. Reportedly, CXL modules can reduce data read times to less than one-tenth compared to traditional products, and with high-speed data reading, their performance can come closer to that of DRAM. Kioxia pointed out that by replacing some DRAM with CXL modules, capacity could be increased by up to two times and performance enhanced by 30%.
