Canadian Gold Resources Expands Quebec Exploration Footprint

05:02 PM EDT, 09/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Canadian Gold Resources (CAN.V) after trade Thursday said it acquired 195 mineral claims covering about 11,164 hectares (27,587 acres) immediately south of its Lac Arsenault and Robidoux properties in Quebec's Gaspe Peninsula. The acquisition expands the company's land position along the Garin River Fault and related structures. It increases Canadian Gold's total land position in the Gaspe Peninsula by about 72% to 29,225 hectares (72,000 acres), it added. "The staking of these lands is a logical extension of our land position in the Lac Arsenault - Robidoux area," Interim President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Chernin said. The company said it plans to review existing geological and geophysical data and conduct initial field work on the new claims. The goal is to assess the area and identify the most promising targets for further exploration.
