Eledon Pharmaceuticals Submits IND Application to US FDA for Tegoprubart

07:49 AM EDT, 09/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Eledon Pharmaceuticals (ELDN) has submitted an investigational new drug application to the US Food and Drug Administration for a registrational trial of tegoprubart in patients with type 1 diabetes undergoing islet cell transplantation, the company said Thursday. First patients have been enrolled in an investigator-initiated study, the company said. Separately, the first islet cell transplant recipient was dosed with tegoprubart under a compassionate use protocol after switching from tacrolimus, the company said. Eledon also reaffirmed plans to begin a global phase 3 study of tegoprubart in kidney transplantation in Q4. Shares of the company were over 2% higher in Thursday premarket activity.
