Meta says 93% of code modifications are AI-assisted and employee performance is not evaluated based on AI usage

According to a report by The Information, Meta Platforms (META.US) executives Maher Saba and Santosh Janardhan released an internal memo on Tuesday updating the company's expectations for engineers. The memo made it clear that "AI adoption dashboards or token usage will not be used to assess employee impact." It stated that currently 93% of code modifications are assisted by AI agents, but also emphasized that adopting AI "is not the end goal in itself."
